Bernie is pleased to announce details of his first solo album in seven years, KINGS.
Released on Friday 23rd July 2021 via Conquest Music, ‘Kings’ sees Bernie pay musical homage to three of his blues heroes – Albert King, B.B. King and Freddie King. Recorded in Oxfordshire, the album features 10 songs by the three Kings together with two Bernie Marsden penned instrumentals that were inspired by their music.
The idea for the record came when Bernie was invited to share the stage with ZZ Top’s Billy F Gibbons in the summer of 2019. Billy asked him: “Bernie, wouldn’t it be great if we could all record the songs we grew up with as we learned to play the guitar?”
Bernie started writing a list of songs that influenced his playing and taste in his formative years. ‘Kings’ is the first album of his “Inspirations Series” that will be released by Little House Music / Conquest Music.
‘Kings’ will be available on all digital platforms and a Special Limited Edition Digipak CD with 16-page booklet on 23rd July 2021.
